Black and white photography has been a life-long passion, and is a "second career" after completing a first career as an antitrust attorney with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

I have become heavily involved in B&W inkset design and testing, in part, out of necessity. I find the existing commercial offerings expensive compromises. All of the work I do is on a non-profit, no-royalty basis. The goal is simply to pursue my art and raise digital B&W print quality to the level collectors will see it as totally stable and collectible -- and affordable to all.

As a life long public servant, I want to be sure B&W remains a medium that photographers and artists can manipulate and modify at will -- and at very low costs. B&W photography has added so much to my life that this "mission" of mine seems like the least I can do to "give back."
