So often, I see pictures of this area with the 'cracked ground' look to it. I assume, this isn't the way the desert appears year round. So my questions is, if I want to capture this cracked ground look, when is the best time of year to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Art.

The cracked ground is usualy an area that had water and then dried out, such as the death vally low area or other low areas. The time after spring rains and toward summer after evaporation. Hope this helps Wyndham

Go outside in a desert area after a decent rain, you will be pleased.
