OK, I am a little confused. I am looking to purchase my first SLR camera and decided on purchasing a EOS-350D...I am from UK.

Rather conveniently my Dad is on holidays in US and has found a Rebel XT. Whcih is the America version (am I correct in thinking this?). So what ar the differences between the EOS-350D and Rebel XT? Will I have any probelms with warranty/ repairs if I purchase a Rebel XT?

Please help!

Thank you in advance!

The only functional difference is the label on the camera body. As far as the warranty service goes, I'm not sure.

The really cool one is the Japan version. Instead of 350 or Rebel it's called the Kiss, apparently to appeal to young women (the cute factor).

Oh, my! I wonder what the Japanese version of the 5D is called? Or the IDsMKII (blush, blush).

"Kiss Digital", to be precise. Of course, the other names all really have "Digital" in them as well.
