2.2. 24~70 f2.8 ( successfully repaired at last ! )
2.3. 70~200 f2.8
to used one at a time in each camera ( )
3. Flash 430 SX
4. Sandisk extreme III 1 GB
5. Other stuff to store data.
6. Monopod
7. Tripod

Cameras setting:
A. 400 ISO
B. AI SERVO to follow the subject with the center point retaining the finger at mid course ready to shoot and waisting the battery's camera.
C. Evaluative metering
D. Speed priority at 2.500 after evaluating if the aperture is good under different scenarios.
E. Exposure compensation: None
F. May be I'll use the flash with High-speed Sync
G. RAW ( JPG ???? )
H. Custom Functions: Long Exposure noise redution OFF

Sounds good, have a fun time. My only thought is that you probably shouldn't bother with the flash unless you're shooting someone close to the camera (< 10 feet). When using high speed sync, the useable range of the flash is dramatically reduced, especially as the shutter speeds get higher.

So have you already done this? How did it work out for you?

Had I read the post early enough, I would have recommended you bring a very long lens. Unless you're going to be out on the water with your son, it'll be very hard to get close-ups with your lens selection. In fact, there's a place near where I live where I've photographed kite surfing and I've actually had problems getting in tight enough with a 500mm & 1.4x teleconverter. Maybe the situation will be different for you, but the kite surfers I've photographed like to travel pretty far from shore.
