Hello to all:

This is my first post and need some assistance. With the Canon 1Ds, you can set the sharpness from 1 to 5. My question is this: if you use the highest level of sharpness, does this increase noise? And which setting is best for tonal curve and pattern sharpness. It will be used for wedding photography. Thanks in advance.

If the shot has noise, yes, with the 1ds you will sharpen it using incamera sharpening on a jpg.

Best solution IMO is shoot raw, then you can pick the sharpening depending on the image. In camera sharpening doesn't apply to raw.
