I've read alot about the technology of all the manufactures, and from a technological perspective it's truly amazing what I've seen and what's coming out.

The DX sensor seems to have it all, and the marketplace is going crazy getting their hands on the models offered by Nikon.

What do you think Nikon will offer next for the waiting marketplace?

You might want to check www.bythom.com for some forecast on possible future Nikon releases.

Okay, I will give it a try. Does this site not have anyone that can discuss it?

The DX technology does have its advantages, but if Nikon wants to increase the pixel count of the D2x to compete with Canon, they are going to have to increase the sensor size in order to have a competitive signal to noise ratio, especially at higher ISO. Thom has stated this on his web site and I agree with Bernard: you should peruse Thom's website.

Also, the subheading of your post is somewhat misleading. I was hoping to learn about some revolutionary technological accomplishment by Nikon. mad.gif

Like you I was quite excited when I read the description. Thought someone might have got a scoop on a new Sony/Nikon sensor design or even a FF D3x.

You will probably get vastly more response in dedicated Nikon forums like the ones at DPReview for
Nikon consumer level DSLR's
and
Nikon high end DSLR's

(Other stuff deleted; I think I may have been lured into a pointless debate.)
