The Sony RMVD1 remote-control seems to be not easy to get in europe at the moment. Also i would expect some more features (timer, interval shooting)

is there a standard for remote-controls so that it would be possible to use a third party product - and is there something that wil do intervals?

thanks in advance

What sort of remote is it? If it's a very simple one that recognises the half- and full- shutter press and has a standard 3.5mm stereo connector then you can get one almost everywhere (well, certinly on Ebay) for about $10
