Sorry I don't kjnow why I said medium format back when it may not even be a full frame 35mm back... in fact it appear the DMR II will be an integrated sensor/body.

Maybe a moderator could deleted this thread or move it to the "shooting gear section"

As you may of heard, leica/kodak have discontinued the R9 digital back to make way for a new model to debut soon. Rumour has it that the same offsetting of the micro lenses as seen on the M8, which will be employed at the margins of a "full (35mm) frame" digital back to get over soem of the problems encounted during the MKI version. The pixel pitch will be the same as previous backs, so someone else can do the maths as to the resolution of the full frame sensor.

Why do you refer to it as medium format? Is there a chance the sensor will be more than 24x36mm size?
