I just got a P25 back, and using the Dual BAttery charger... with TWO batteries inside... being charged.. only one LED lights red at a time...

It doesnt charge the 2nd battery at the same time????
Does the charger just hold it to sit there? and wait for the other one to finish?

the phase chargers are bit cheap and nasty. i find i have to wiggle the batteries for them to show up the red light sometimes.
luckly the batteries are really standard, and there are heaps of battery charging options out there.

What charger did you go for? I still have a couple of the naff Hahnel chargers. I tried the Energiser charger but it didn't make contact and I couldn't get hold of a Canon one.

Phil,

The Phase charger charges both at once. I have had one occassion when only one light lit. Removing and cleaning the battery contacts corrected the problem.

The charger is comparable to several I use and I find it quite useful to charge two at once. Other simpler units are sometimes more convient for travel, though.

I have the similar issue but I think it is the capacity of the charger so if both battery are 1/2 full, the charger actually charge both battery at the same time after you insert both, or if you have one of the two battery almost depleted, then the charger will charge the one is more hungry until it is full then switch to charge another. So if you put both battery on the charger for few hours, eventually both battery got charged. I am not sure if this is true but this is what I figured out how the chip inside the charger works, I could be wrong. The charger is nicely made but the eletrical contact is a bit weak.
