I've decided to get a 645 AF or AFD from ebay as I need something smaller for some location work than the RZ that I use with an A65.

So feeling lazy, I thought I'd conduct a quick straw poll to help me with my research - Hope you don't mind smile.gif

Working with a Leaf aptus 65, would an 645AF (in mint condition) be a waste of time - Am I better off waiting for a decent AFD II. What are the general pro's & cons etc?

Thanks to anyone who can be bothered to respond.

Hi
I would buy the AFDII because you can seperate the focus from the shutter release. I own both & use the AFD as a back up only.

I don't think you want the 645 AF because it does not have the serial communications feature to communicate with the back.

The 645 AFD does have it as does the AFD II.

AFD2's show up on ebay for $1500-1800 w/ 80mm sometimes....at that price why bother w/ earlier vers?

I've added a Mamiya 645 AFD II to my kit along with the 35, 60, and 150mm lens. So far this fits well with my 1Ds Mk II. Get the AFD II
