Most people who make printer profiles for others (eg, Cathy's profiles) have instructions for printing the colour charts from Photoshop, but I've never seen instructions for printing from Aperture, and Aperture is the only application I use.

I'm guessing that Colour Management has to be turned off in the printer driver, and that it has to be set to "System Managed" in Aperture's print dialog.

Does anyone know the exact steps to correctly print the colour charts that can then be sent off to those people who build profiles from them?

Epson has pretty good profiles for its Stylus Pro 3800/3850 but some of my photos would benefit from custom profiles.

Im sorry, i dont kow. Nobody knows how to print in Aperture. I use Apeture all the time and im not able to get correct prints out of Aperture. Im using my R1800. I have a lot of ICCs for all Ink and Paper combinations and this ICCs are working very well with all Adobe prducts, but the are rubbish with aperture. So the question is, how to get the printing interface working well! What is the very useless and imprecise method to adjust a print used for?

Im quite frustrated with printing from Aperture.

Actually, my prints from Aperture are pretty good. the colour could be improved though via custom profiles.

When you print from Aperture, it's important to turn off the Colour Management in the Print Driver; eg, the Epson print driver. You then choose the suitable profile from the Profile popup in Aperture's own Print dialog.

I have a pretty good idea how to produce the profile charts. I'll give it a try and see what happens.
