I just noticed this plug-in on the HP website with a date of April 26, 2007. Has anyone tried it? I'm not where I can download it to my computer right now, so can't comment.

I've been using it on the B9180 for some time and the version for the Z3100 is the same.

Does a very nice job of bypassing the regular OS's printer driver and putting all menu selections on one screen.

Thanks for sharing the find, Charlie. I'm not sure I'll use this though as I'm planning to continue to use Qimage for printing. Qimage is not available on the Mac though.

BTW, my printer is in Charlotte and I'll be arranging for the delivery today.

May I ask, where you can find information in how to used it?

Thank You

I thought it would only provide a better softproof but the action still goes through the OS driver path. Has this changed ? On Windows here so no chance to try it.

Just noticed that the Pro Print plug-in is a Mac only tool. Nothing for Windoze (yet?).

I have not found any information on it's use. Did install it this morning and try it out. For the most part, it's pretty straight forward. Don't really see much or any advantage to using it, though.

Apparently there is no plan yet to introduce a windows version.

Thanks, Robert. That's interesting. I'll wait until Charlie reports on what it has to offer before I feel jealous. biggrin.gif

OOPS! if I had just looked at the HP Pro Print dialog box, I would have seen a ? mark. Clicking on it brings up help dialog(of course). Have read it, and printed using it's instructions. At the present, don't see an option of using gloss enhancer or not using it, and having trouble with image size. Even when I select "No Scaling", it scales the print up and trims some of the image off. I'm sticking with "Print with Preview" until I have the time to really play with the plug-in.
