Michael,

This site has truly been a great resource for me and furthered my photography more than any other thing. And not just for the articles and great forums, but also because your photography is inspirational.

The care with which you have photographed, processed and chosen these images is very clear. Alas, I don't think I can afford a copy but I appreciate the beautiful slide show and am looking forward to showing this to other people.

I'm sure many people in this community have a similar view.

Thanks,

Eli

I absolutely agree with the above comment. Luminous Landscape has been a great inspiration for me over a number of years. It's a thought provoking site which deals with cutting edge issues of image quality.

I think there's no better site available on the net for those who are primarily interested in image quality, both technically and artistically.

Beautiful work, Michael. You have every right to be proud of what you have achieved.

The quality of the work is of course without reservation, excellent. I do, however, have one question. On the final page of the book you remark that in order to save space in the book you put techincal notes on your website rather than in the book. I am curious, therefore, why you chose to give the various chapter heading pages their own pages, without images. By my count this would have allowed for the addition of nine images into the book. While I can certainly respect and understand that this may have been done for aesthetic and artistic reasons I am nevertheless very interested in your rational.

Either way, fabulous work...wish I had a spare $850 to throw your way!

The caliber of the work in the slide show has left me speachless. Kudos! Hopefully it will be available for purchase for a while.

Very nice collection Michael.

Personnally, I find the last part with workers and children to be the most appealling.

If I were to pick one part slightly less powerful that the rest, it would be the Antartica section. Still very good though.

It is a pleasure to be able to view this impressive, beautiful and inspiring work.

I can't imagine how hard it was to narrow down to just those 70 images - but very well done!

Oh, yes, that's one seriously good-looking slideshow.

I'm very tempted to purchase a copy, but I'm saving my money for a 1D Mk III (or maybe 1Ds Mk III). biggrin.gif

I've recommended it to other people, though!
