i just did a commercial shoot with my p25 and a apple powerbook aluminum series laptop (1.5ghtz, 1.5gb ram) yesterday and
it was a bit slow, if i shot at the published speed of 1 frm per 2 seconds, the images would show up on the computer screen mostly black with magenta lines. i figured out i need to wait until the image pops up in C1, to shoot again if i want to avoid this.
any ideas to solve this? i think the computer was too slow. any suggestions on min. computing power to solve this?

Here is a link to the knowledge base article regarding tethered operation for p20/p25's. In a nutshell your laptop is not giving the back enough or consistant juice. So the solution is using a charged Lion battery in the P25, use a dc firewire booster and/or use a no-power firewire adapter which is a pass through 6pin to 6pin cable with the power disable. The cable and dc adapter are available from a variety of sources, but
http://www.captureintegration.com/sales/exclusive.html has them both and should be able to assist you.
