I had some pictures which simply didn't look quite right in colour. I decided to have an attempt and change them to B&W, and suddenly they look much better. Adding a little bit of tonality helped even further. What do you think?

Can you post something I can actually look at on my screen - these are far too big to assess without resizing?

Superficial assessment from the thumbnails only - the left one works better. I find the trunk in the right to spoil the image; it is far too dominant and detracts from the more delicate foliage. I'm not sure about the partial toning: the khaki leaves are neither one thing nor the other.

Nothing wrong with the size, but I think you might get the kind of comments that you are looking for if you make these kinds of posts in the User Critiques section instead.

Adding a little bit of tonality is not enough. The shadows need opening and the'RGB desaturated" look might not be the best.
