L/G,
Finally I have finished processing some images I took in the Jebel Akhdar - Sayq Plateau area of the Oman Mountains. These were taken during a camping trip:

(at full zoom, to focus on this traditional omani cap that was drying in the sun, in one of the villages).

(try taking this one in JPG without blowing out the whites in the sheets and pavement. I need RAW to preserve the detail. Good resistance to flare with lateral lighting).

(this one was handheld at 1/13 second, I believe. Moonrise in the camping site. This is the juniper tree forest in the Sayq Plateau. The ISO is 100, I have the same shot at ISO 400, which becomes very acceptable after a bit of Neat Image).

(I like to compose trees in the landscape, and the trees in this area have fantastic shapes, all twisted).

(More trees).

(The mountains at sunrise. The sun was right in front of me, above the frame. Again, this shot was saved by RAW and a bit of histogram monitoring. I managed not to blow out the sky, recovering the highlights in ACR. And still preserve some detail in the shadows. The preview image in the camera - from the JPG - had the sky totally blown out).
