Full Version: corrupt files

Hi, After importing images from Canon 5d, Lightroom tells me it couldn't import 2 images because they were corrupted. Luckily they weren't important, but as you can imagine I don't want this to happen again. It's actually the second time it happened, both times on the same CF card (Sandisk 4 GB ultra II). After the first time, I did format the card in camera.

What to do about it? Chuck the card? If the files were important, could I recover them somehow?

Not sure what to say about the recovery, but definitely try the card in a different camera. If the problems continue to show up, it's probably the card. At the same time, try a different card in the 5D. If the camera is the issue, you'll see corrupted images on the new card, too.

Thanks for the ideas. Couldnt replicate the failure. Not sure whether i should be glad or worried! Best to keep using my other cards for paid stuff. I'll try the guarantee the seller promised.
