Just realised that my sensor seems to have some kind of condensation, fog or whatever on the glass or sensor on the inside as it cannot be removed with my sensor cleaning pads
I have come to see it as I was shooting white ceramic on white background and started noticing slight shady kind of stripes that I could not see on the ceramic it self.
I can actually see different directions of "wipes"
I have gone over my last few hundred files and fortunately it is 99% undetectable on all my interior and architecture shots.
I have taken this blurry photo and bumbed the contrast to show.
Has anyone seen this before or has any clue as to how this might have ocurred.
Tomorrow first thing is of course; talk to Hasselblad but maybe one of you have some clue.

Hey marc, thats strange...

Have you taken a look at the sensor under a lupe or something?

Is it really on the underside?

Marc if these marks are IN FOCUS in a blurry image then they are on the sensor. If they are not in focus the can be on the inside or outside of the IR filter.

Anyway not something that can't be fixed by you dealer....

Talked extensively with hasselblad and they said it is actually not uncommon when doing a lot of airtravel, which I have done. in combination with going from cold airconditioned rooms to a hot and humid outside it is to be expected. Been advised to send it to Denmark and get it cleaned for 340 euros. But can also do a swap for a brand spanking new H3D plus some extra euros.
Hopefully it will hold up for the next 2 weeks.

O yeah an other piece of advice I got from a Hasselblad photographer; was to always, regardless of when and where, keep the camera in a ziplocked plastic bag. If you are going to experience severe temperature changes, keep the plastic bag on for 1/2 an hour and only the plastic bag will condense as supposed to your sensitive camera back.

So much for learning the hard way
Why don't they put those kind of tips in the manual?!?!

I bought a couple of humidity "trappers" (don't know what they are really called) when I purchased my Pelican cases...they silver colored and about 1.5x3x0.5 inches, I think they are 10bucks each and reusuable, but they will keep the humidity out of your equipment...I even put one in my car. Check it out..it is cheaper than 340 bucks.
