When I click on a thumbnail in Bridge, I see the preview auto update like it's applying auto adjustments. How do I turn that option off, and thanks.

I you have your prefs set to 'HQ thumb on preview' then Bridge is applying your ACR defaults to the preview, thus the visual change. They are not auto adjustments, unless your ACR defaults are set that way.

You mean whatever the default is for opening a RAW file is what is getting applied in HQ Thumbnail mode? How do I make it act like the old raw?

Not sure what you mean...Bridge has always applied RAW defaults to previews and thumbs AFAIK.

Well, I've never noticed CS2 altering the way the thumbnail looks when I preview it. In other words, if the thumbnail looked underexposed, the preview pane would also look under exposed. Now it looks like adjustments are made when I click the thumbnail for preview.

I suspect that this is because there was never the option *not* to generate HQ Thumbs in Bridge 1. This is why Bridge 1 was so slow. This option has been added to Bridge 2 to speed up initial thumb generation at the expense of colour accuracy.

If you set prefs to 'HQ Thumbs' then all the thumbs will be generated using the ACR default (slow) and when you preview there will be no change.

I noticed this with my CS3 Bridge as well. I assumed it was reading the thumb nail file from 12 or 14 bit RAW and generate them to be visible on the preview, which perhaps a 8-bit sRGB preview. In general I noticed the image is less saturated and dimmer but once it was clicked the color is alive again. I was not bothered much as long as it deliver good processed images.
