Full Version: ver 1.1 delete from disk?
Luminous Landscape Forum > Raw & Post Processing, Printing > Adobe Lightroom Q&A

Not able to delete from disk by pressing the delete key (pc). No dialog asking if I want to trash(remove from disk) or remove from catalog/lib. The only way to delete from disk is to press ctrl, alt, shift & delete at the same time. This is way to many keys to press any ideas on a better way??

In Library, highlight photo to delete, hit backspace key. From dialogue that pops

up choose to remove from library only or delete from the hard drive.

The dialog is not poping up it is just deleting from the library not the hard drive. The only way to get the dialog is to hold shft, ctrl, alr & delete key at the same time.

Under Preferences, General - try clicking Reset all warning dialogs maybe?

LR Needs to be in either Library or Develop Mode. Pressing the [Backspace] key will reveal:

You can then press [d] to delete the file from the disk - note that the Windows File Delete confirmation is bypassed.

From the keyboard then, [Backspace]+[d] on the selected images works quite nicely

hope this helps . . .
