Hi, I'm in a bit of unexplored territory here but for dramatic presentation I'm attempting to project photographic images onto a surface that is not a single plane. I'm attempting to get a 3d effect- similar to that seen in the haunted mansion at disney. Does anyone have any expertise in this area? What are the possible pitfalls?

Thanks

David

The most obvious problem will be focus--the projector is only going to focus on a single plane. Wherever the projection surface is not on this plane, the image will be out of focus to some degree. Increasing the distance between the projector and projection surface will reduce this problem.

are you thinking of texture mapping an object? (thats generally how its done) You will want to check how it works in 3d Studio.. there are lots of explanations on that, via google
