The gray ink cart on my printer was hovering at 16ml and giving a low ink warning. I noticed after printing 7 12x18 inch prints it was still at 16ml . About another 7 more same size prints -one in black and white- I noticed it was now at 9ml. Since then I have printed two 24x36 inch prints and 3 12x18 inch prints and it is still at 9ml !
Either the ink level in ml is not updated very often or the printer frequently uses little or no gray ink.
BTW it looks like light gray will be this printers fastest consumed ink.
Anyone else notice this with their gray cart?

I am still on my initial 69ml carts. But for me the next ones to buy will be GE, Light Gray, followed by Yellow.

Most likely I will rarely use Matte Black. However I am down to 41% even though I have only printed one print using it. I have more Red,Green than I do Matte Black! So am I doomed to buying another MK cartridge just to keep the MK head unclogged?

Charlie, here's what my current ink car status looks like. I'm still on my starter 69ml carts. I had hoped to be printing a lot more but its amazing how a computer crash can slow that down.

My original gray ink (69ml cart) lasted eight months of off and on printing, then told me it was empty but it still had 9ml left. I recycled the printer and printed with the ink for another week. Recycled the printer again and printed for another week, then finally replaced it. This printer uses so much less ink than any epson I've ever used - so nice not to have to worry about the ink usage...
