Photoshop allows you to go to Preferences/Edit/General and set History Log to Detailed and save all activity done to a file to metadata. If you play an Action on the file, it will also show in the Metadata when you check File/File Info/History.

Apparently though, the one exception is when you run File/Automate/Batch and run an Action on a group of files in a folder.

As a result, I often find myself struggling to confirm, for example, that a sharpening Action really was applied and saved.

Is this just one of those things, and can't be changed? It would be very helpful if the Batch Action would show up in the History...
