Kinda leaves the PC users SOL.

32 bit editing finally! I wish there was a windows version.
Is there any other editor in 32 bits? PS is limited...

"infinite resolution" rolleyes.gif

No real explanation of nodal points, or much of anything else at this point so there's not much to say.

I downloaded the beta today and it just does not work. I think the developer was overwhelmed and felt he had to stick to an announced release date. The advertisement for the software looked promising, but it is no where near ready for any kind of working release.

He does say it very ropey and closer to an Alpha and not usuable for any serious work.

I really don't see your point, the Beta was free.. and I don't use Microsoft products.

It is unusable for ANY work. It does not work at all! Have you tried it?

Well, it sounds like they came up with new marketing terms for the same stuff the latest generation of RAW editors have had for a year or two now. Infinite resolution is just another way to say parametric editing - ie. it doesn't work with pixels, but with paths, vectors and other methods which tell the program how to adjust the pixels, rather than adjusting the pixels themselves.

Nodal points are indeed poorly explained, but they sound a lot like the Lightzone approach - although i don't know how the horizontal stacking is implemented.

In fact, the main features seem to be exactly the same as Lightzone. But the hype doesn't show any improvement over what Lightzone, Lightroom or Aperture are doing already.

And hyping and publically releasing an alpha is a bad business decision.

The basic concept is very similar to Apple's Shake, which is used for motion picture compositing. I wish him all the best, check out Apple.com for a look at Shake. This has the potential to be so much more than the current crop, ie Aperture/Lightroom, masking for starters! Think LivePicture for the 21st Century.
