dear all,

I often give notice of new Scotland or Holland work on my site. This time it is Denmark. Not such a spectacular place, but I liked the small scale countryside quite a lot.
For the first time I used a dSLR (a K10D) along side my trusted Rollei (with 22mp back, which in fact was made in Denmark by Imacon) - they came to good use in the towns of Faaborg and Ribe.

You can find the work through this link.

I continue to enjoy the flexibility of the MFDB files! I hope the pictures themselves are enjoyable too!

I'm not surprised that you find Denmark challenging when used to Scotland, when used to Scotland. We definitely don't have enough dramatic mountainscapes! I'm struggling with finding interesting angles myself. You've gotten some good shots for having spent so little time here.

For http://www.fotografiewimvanvelzen.nl/dk/fyn-broby17.htm, did you use tilt or just a very large aperture?

Hi Lars,

Thanks for your comments! The shot was made with a 50mm at, I think, 5.6 (on a 48x36 sensor). I donīt have a tilt lens - but I want one!

That much DOF at 5.6? I never seem to be able to do that, my optics must be broken:) I always thought MF/LF cameras automatically had tilt/shift to them by virtue of construction rather than the lens. I guess I was wrong there.

hi Lars,

You are mixing up medium format and View Cameras (although there are some small view cameras that use MF film or backs). Quite an esoteric world, actually.
The attachment contains a larger version of the same picture - the background isn't all that sharp, which is deliberate to create a sense of depth.
