Full Version: Monitor profiling software

I'm looking to build a new PC soon. (I'm hoping Intel doesn't raise their prices after AMD's "Phenom" launch.) Unfortunately this means a new OS installation. I've been rounding up all my CD's to prepare for this. One I can't find is the one that came with my Monaco Optix-Xr.

So, I need Windows based monitor profiling software. It is 50-50 as to whether it will have to run under Vista or not.

Suggestions?

I'd go for ColorEyes Display Pro. Do a search on LuLa for threads about it. It is a bit confusing to use at first, but gives fantastic results. I use it with my Monaco Optix XR puck.

Well what's the display first off? Some like my NEC really shine using the software from NEC.

If you need software for the OPTIX, I think you can download it or just ask X-Rite for a copy and they did update it recently for Vista.

It is an overly bright Dell. (To be replaced relatively soon.)

I'll give the download thing a try first.

Well I can't say enough good things about the NEC driven by the SpectraView II and it DOES support the OPTIX XR, a superb colorimeter. And unlike the other software which is said to be 'confusing', SpectraView is a one button affair. It really is a smart monitor.

I'm running a new system(Vista) also and came upon the same problem. Luckily, X-Rite does have updated drivers for the OptixXR Pro which I also use. It may take some digging, but they do have it. If your having problems finding it let me know via PM. I still have a copy of the download.
