Bernard,

Great article, and excellent images. You've made explicit all kinds of important considerations - it's a check-list I shall download and retain for the next photo workshop I attend. Many thanks.

Indeed it is a very hands-on article, full of good tips. I often venture into remote areas, so it is important to learn to be prepared. Thinking you know it all, even when visiting a familiar location, is dangerous.

I agree... well written, Bernard.

Thanks!

No surprise: It's a terrific article, Bernard, with wonderful illustrations.

Many of your points it has taken me a great many years to learn.

I agree: It's the process of improving that keeps us (and our photography) alive.

Best,

Mark and the others,

Thank you so much for your positive comments, it is nice to hear that my solitary reflections match your experience!

There is indeed so much to learn, I sometimes get really mad about myself for making the same stupid miskate for the 12th time... smile.gif

Cheers,
Bernard

I just read your article today because I just got back from several weeks of hiking and photographing in Patagonia, so it really resonated with me. Great one. Much wisdom in there.

Thanks
Lisa
