1. I downloaded the upgrade to Camera Raw 4.3 , MacIntosh.
When I double-clicked the Camera Raw Symbol after download, I got the message "CS3 does not recognize the plug-in"
2. the 10.0.1 patch question:
" When I downloaded the Photoshop patch 10.0.1, I got the long install bar, and it installed slowly, and, after about a third of the install bar, the install bar suddenly disappeared, and I got the message "Install successful".
Well, that should be a good message, but I am used to see install bars go all the way to the end before you get the successful install-message.
Can you fill me in? (it doesn't necessarily have to be with the paintbucket).

Camera Raw isn't installed by clicking on it. Read the instruction
here. If you are in a hurry:
To install with Adobe Creative Suite 3 or Photoshop CS3:
1. Quit the application.
2. Open the Finder.
3. Navigate to: (Please read directory carefully)
Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats
4. Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
5. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 3. As for question 2, progess bars are not always reliable indicators. Open Photohop and go to Photoshop>About Photoshop… If the update was successful, then you should see version 10.0.1.

There's also a choice under the Help menu to automatically check for and install updates. That may be easier.

As for the Camera Raw update, you still have to remove the previous file so that CS3 and/or Bridge will know which to use.

Thank you for your replies.
The details on how to install Camera Raw 4.3 were very helpful.
And also the comment about the progress bar regarding the Photoshop patch install (it almost looked like an interrupted install).
Photoshop displays 10.0.1 in the splash screen at start-up, so everything is fine.
