Time to move from my beloved 20D to a 40D. Several places at showing the 40D body only for $499. They all claim factory new with USA warranty. These just look to good to be true. So who bought from a trusted source at a good price?
Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Jerry

Yeah, right $499. Then I have a bridge to sell you, cheap.

If you see a great price, check the website at Reseller Ratings

It's usually a lie (surprise!)

The 40-D is selling for about $1300 from every reputable dealer right now. It's new enough that you won't see serious discounts for a while. I'm buying mine from B+H Photo, but I often buy from Adorama and KEH Camera Brokers.

I bought my 40D kit ($1499 list) for $1350 with a 10% off "preferred customer" coupon from Best Buy in San Antonio.
