can anyone tell me which mount this was designed for?
John-S
Looks like the Alpa front lens plate mount, no?

It does not look like a digital back or film back adapter. But I could be wrong. It is Alpa though.

Doesn't Rollei X-Act use the same lever locks?
MarkKay
Yes it connects to the rollei x act 2 but is an adapter for a specific back type and that is what i am not sure about.

I think ixpressraf is correct. This looks like the rear plate of an Alpa without the interchangeable
plate. Here is a link to Alpa's web site:

Rollei uses/used to use the Alpa mount parts on the back of their X-Act camera.
Looks like one of these adapters.

Could you show the other side of it please?

Thanks.

This is an X-Act part. Can't say if it is for a viewfinder or a magazine.

Good idea that you ask to post the back of the adapter. Anyway, my frames are 7 TC frames, 2 SWA frames that rather look improved or very similar [from the top] including the 16 and 34mm macro adapters. Back of the picture certainly helps!

Mark:

This is the Rollei Adapter that was sold to mount a V mount Hasselblad back to Rollei Xact2. I had this same system and we had to use this adapter before Keith At the Kapture Group designed a sliding back for the Xact2. A second plate fits this holder that is why there are two arms at the top to open and close. The rear circular mount fits the rear and front standards of the Xact2

I have the insert that fits this mount if you need one. Email if you need this. It would then make it possible to mount a V style back to the view camera rear standard. I think tha Alpa also uses similar pieces, maybe using them from Rollei because they were already designed.

Rollei bought/buys these parts from Alpa, as already mentioned.

Thanks for this reply and for all the other responses. I do appreciate it. I am selling the Rollei Xact 2 and just wondered what his piece was since i never used it. I had an H mount sliding back.
