I thought this was discussed here earlier, but I couldn't find it with the search feature of the forum. Consequently I ask again:

Which are the real world maximum shifts one would use with a MF-Back (48x36mm) and the Schneider and Rodenstock lenses (35 mm and 47 mm)?

I think you will find this pdf helpful. I extracted it from the schneider digitar brochure. I lists all of their lenses and the technical specs including maximum shifts. It even has a nice diagram at the bottom to visually see what they are.

Real world info about the Schneiders Digitars on an Aptus 75 - Alpa XY

24XL @ f11 with CF: 4-5mm

35XL @ f16 with CF: 20mm, if you can accept a small degree of "artistic" fall-off, then you can add 2-4mm and you can make the graduation of the fall-off less harsh if you remove the centerfilter.

47XL @ f16 without CF: 35mm, again you can add 5-8mm if you can accept some degree of fall-off.

This is all in landscape shifting up.

rodenstock digital 45 @f11 : 25mm
rodenstock 60HR: 22mm
