I saw Tim Walker at Arles Rencontres. STUNNING WORK!!! If somebody finds himself near Arles until mid september, the visit pays off. There are Peter Lindberg, Paulo Roversi and Mr. Comfort serie from Richard Avedon (these three are until august 31st) as well as many other ones.

Thanks for all the positive comments on my 54 Corvette piece!! Here's another image that I just finished. This is a 1937 Puegeot that was restored by a neighbor of my studio (Brian Joseph, Classic and Exotic Services). I've photographed this vehicle in different stages of it's restoration, I'll post some more as I get them finished. By the way, BobDavid, I love the dog pictures. Jim

Hmmmm. Your link works for me, Torben, and the images are fantastic. So many forms of decay, and so many that relate well with the portrait. I love the way they were presented in the gallery, too. Thanks for sharing.

Just standing next to the camera in the studio with the lights out and getting my assistance to drop the lemon on the count of 3 and manually firing the flash with a infrared trigger.

I had some time on my hands. I like to try new set ups ad give myself 20 minutes to set up and be ready to shoot. This set up is too equipment heavy for use on location, in my mind. Too many stands and reflectors which can't be folded.

Four Profoto heads, two Pro7 1200s packs, some pocketwizards, some background paper, a grip truck (literally, there is a grip truck outside my apartment), and a Mamiya AFd, Phase P30+, 45mm lens, 1/125 F16. Should have been F13, but The lights were too hot and the base iso is 100. 4 heads, one hair light with a 20 degree grid, one BG light with a 10 degree grid, key is a Magnum reflector, small while brolly at 8 feet for fill. I hate brollies but they sure are easy.

I was going to go for the Platon look but I needed two more heads which are not here. I had the fill dialed way down so as to get the contrast from the lights. I used the magnum reflector on the 7 setting for a big, hard beam, not too far away. I wanted the key hard but not brutal. I should have bumped the hair/bg lights a stop. I did later and it looks nice.

This shot is unprocessed, straight from C1 4.1's excellent html contact sheet.

Sweet shot. I think more car designers need to take a lesson from days gone by. Gorgeous, almost organic design.

This project has been published in a book. The tribe makes a living from these animals, traveling from village to village and people give them money for the show. The text is funny to, he mentioned that they have to find a transport so only one man will stand at the bord of the street and stop a taxi, when it has stopped, the rest of the group including the Hyeanas, shimps and some giant snake will all jump in the taxi....

Because my grandmother passed away I got a lot of older cameras in my possession, on of it being an Agfa Clack (one of the first ones), to my surprise it could be loaded with 120mm film (6x9 negatives) so I decided to run one roll of film through it and just run out in the rain to shoot a few pictures.

The funny thing is there are no settings, just a setting for sunny or dark meaning f11 or f12.5 (or something similair), no focus whatsoever and a viewfinder smaller than one pixel of a crop camera biggrin.gif

but oh wonder, it still works....

NOT MEANT AS A SERIOUS PHOTOPOSTING but just for fun.

Woof,

I don't mind. Actually I like your change. Not quite what it looked like when I was there but yours has a warm glow to it. There was a thin layer of cloud to the east that really cooled things off color wise so I stuck with it.

I find my p30 (C1v4) needs a green reduction to get foliage right so I use curves/green channel/input 129/output 126 an example:

Marc,
What lens and f stop did you use on "The Path"? I like your redo of Ed's pic but I liked his, too.

I thought Woof's change had an unfortunate effect on the sky's reflection in the water.

35mm f9, in hindsight I should have used a smaller aperture to sharpen up the foreground trees. oops! I tend to shoot this lens at f9 where it is sharpest, this shot could have used more DOF though.
