100% shows lots of detail, downsizing is a dissaster sometimes with this kind of work.

Frank -

The last batch really isn't quite up to your usual incredible level.

@Eronald,

Excellent skin -- texture and color are exquisite. It's nice to see skin that doesn't look over processed.

Do you have some strange downsampling artifacts going on here, in particular it almost looks like theres a fingerprint like pattern on each side of her forehead, it's not natural skin texture.

These are the Leaf Aptus22 files.
I did shoot some Ektachrome today but that will come in somewhere next week.

Colourful indeed! I like no.3 the best.

Frank,
nice shots !
I predict the slide film versions will have more color-detail in the highlights.
From these files, I see (as usual with digital) highlights clipping at 255-255-255
around the lips for instance or the white spot on her green shoes ...
Aptus 22 is very nice although !

I never check photos by numbers, and besides that specular highlights are never within the range of any back or film, and I use my accentlights in some cases just to do that biggrin.gif
I doubt that slide film will give me more dynamic range than the digital back, slide will stop with 5 stops the aptus should have 12 stops biggrin.gif

But I'm looking forward to the slides anyway biggrin.gif

Background is paper.

you got the paper that smooth with no retouch of the paper - nice

Frank Doorhof
Oh sorry,
I did smooth out the paper in PS, but the distance between the model and the background is a few mtrs making it much easier of course.

This time of year, for a few weeks, the English countryside becomes one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
What you can't get a sense of from a picture, is the absolute cacophony of sound that is the dawn chorus in early summer. Very special. smile.gif

P20 Hasselblad 503CW CFE 120/4,0 handheld iso 200 f8[

Your exif says iso 50 ?

Very impressive handheld with a V. I struggle without a tripod but it was never an issue with film it's those bl***y pixels.
patrickfransdesmet
I see ios 200 in C1 v4
and indeed in C1 v3.7 its iso 50
hmmm strange

indeed handheld with a V
I ALWAYS use mirror-up first
NO PROCESSING whatsoever
straight out of the box

But I must admit, It's a lucky shot
mostly Focus is a little bit off, as is NOT the case when using film ...
That is why I do not use the P20 at weddings
But I can do weddings with V system and Film
That was my biggest disappointment about the P20
So I keep it for Still Life and Landscapes, etc...

Yes it's that mirror that's the culprit in handheld I'm sure.
I have had lucky shots so it's always worth a go as the results are spectacular.
I'd drop Phase a line about that exif obviously a bug.

I like May a lot too. Everything is lush from the rain and the recent warm weather, in Summer everything the greenery is starting to dry out/wilt. Yes even in the UK!

The noise of birds at my girlfriends allotment is louder than traffic in the city centre. Peaceful countryside, my arse! dry.gif
