Hi guys.

I installed Windows Vista and I'm struggling to get color management correct.

I have two questions for the group.

1) Do you know any web site that gives us step by step instruction how to setup color management on Vista? I tried Google, but didn't find anything very useful.

2) Are you guys happy with Vista from a color management perspective?

I have Eye-One Display 1 and Eye-One Match 3.6.2 (the most recent version).

Thanks

Nelson

What exactly is the problem you are having?

Vista color management is pretty straight forward and the software you are using will generate the profile for u and automotically assign it.

Make sure u dont have Adobe Gamma Loader in Start-up also.

Thanks guys.

The profile seems to be ok. My problem is that every time the calibration loader module (GratagMacbeth software) is executed at startup, Windows asks for permission. It's a little annoying.

And Vista is loosing calibration every time UAC is activated. Seems to be "normal" Windows behavior.

And just be aware that sometimes the profile doesnt load in Vista even though its in start-up.

I always check it by running it manually before color work.

Also, right click on your screen, go to Display settings, then Advanced Settings, then Color Management and make sure your calibrated monitor profile is listed and set as "default".

I've been running RC's (Release Candidates) for Vista SP1 since November, I'm not experiencing any Display Profile issues after a UAC prompt, running GM Eye-One 3.6.2.
