Well,

It has bee a while since I need to bring a new profile to softproof. I am planning to use Blurb.com and they use a HP5000 press.

I have downloaded their ICC profile which is named "HP5000SemimatteExp05"

However I have draw a blank in my mind and can not figure out how to load.

I have a Mac Pro using Leopard and Photoshop CS3. I placed the file on the library/colorsynch/profiles, but can not figure out how to make it active with PS.

Funny thing is that even the profiles I can see in PS, i can not find in the hard drive when I do a search. unsure.gif

I am really confused please help! smile.gif

Profiles can be stored in those folders:

/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
/System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
papa v2.0
and dont forget

the profile 'file name' and the 'profile name' may be different.
