Full Version: Changing Date in Metadata

A couple of years ago, when I had my first heavy-duty digital camera, a Canon 1Ds, I never took the time to fully program everything, including the correct date. As a result, the dates recorded in my metadata during the first several weeks of shooting, are way off.

I like to keep my files in correct order, and wondered if there is some way to correct the dates in the files? If so, could someone explain how to do it--via CS2 or some other program? Thanks.

Phil Harvey's exiftool will do it. Its a command line utility so it takes a bit of reading and learning to use.
