Hi.

Do any one have experience with Mamiya RZ + Mamiya RZ tilt/shift adapter + 180 RZ for tilt/shift adapter and PhaseOne P45+?

I use the same setup with a 140mm macro. It is super for jewelry. No stop down to remember and no shutter ajustment. Just take a shot as I use to do. But it do only work at close up from about 8x10" and closer.

Now I need a solution to make photos of a area about 20x30" and bigger so I need to know if the setup with the 180mm for tilt/shift is so sharp as with a 140mm macro?

Kind regards

Iversen,

It's hard to tell if the Mamiya RZ tilt shift adapter will be exactly what you need. Just beware that there are only two true lenses made for the TS adapter and they are the 75mm (part #212-304) short barrel and the 180mm (part #212-318) short barrel lens. You also may need to purchase or rent a cable release extension cord for the TS adapter (part #212-521). Depending on your cabling, the TS adapter can get in the way of normal cable coming out of the RZ body. This extension cable turns it 90 degrees to redirect it.

Hi Chris.

Thank you for your reply.

I all ready have the tilt shift adapter and use it with my 140mm RZ Macro to make jewelry and close up photos. It do not have so mush tilt as a tech.kamera, but I can use it to a lot shots. AND it is working so fast. Faster than a tech.kamera.

I want to have information about sharpnes. Is the RZ 180 mm short barrel on the TS adapter so sharp as the RZ 140mm Macro is on the TS adapter?

For your information you only need release extension cable if you use RZ Pro and Pro II. Working on RZ Pro II D you don't need it. Of course I use double cabel release for mirror and shutter.

......and I did test the TS adapter for PhaseOne, Roskildevej, Copenhagen in october cool.gif
I did have the possibility to test the two short barrel lenses, but it was the TS adapter, that was the reason for the test. And I did only make a test with my 140mm. sad.gif

Hope you understand my english.

Sorry. If you use a PhaseOne adapter to V mount you have to use the cabel. I'm working with Mamiya RZ adapter with 645 mount on a Mamiya RZ Pro II D. Then you don need it. And you can rotate the P45+ like we did it in the "filmage". That's great ;-)

Hi Ivensen,

I use the Mamiya 75mm and 180mm short barrel lenses and I can say that they are pin sharp.

If you go to the website link below Keh Cameras have a good selection of second hand Mamiya lenses.

I've been buying from them for years and never had a problem.

Cheers

Simon
