Hello all,

I am about to add my images to my webpage. On the smaller thumbnail size images I want to give them a shadow border along the outside of the bottom horizontal and right hand horizontal (external to the image). The shadow border will be a narrow strip of graduated gray which merges into the webpages white background. The idea is that they look as if they're popping out 3D style from the page.

Any tips on how this can be done with PS?

Thanks in advance,

Ross

As Jerry says the layer styles drop shadow is what you want, the easiest way is to make a new canvas (larger than your image) drag on your image and then apply the drop shadow, then when you upload to your website the shadow will show up nicely.

Dropshadow is more of a 2d effect, here's a tutorial for more of a 3d look.
