Having recently discovered the concept of the bodyscape, a nude meant to evoke the feeling of a landscape, I am interested in similar work by other's here as well as references to the masters of this niche genre (both print and online).

I am not the first or the best, but I hope my take on bodyscapes is not without some merit.

Criticism, suggestions, and sources of more information encouraged!

This jogged my memory - not entirely off topic ...

Back in the late 80s or early 90s, BMW in South Africa did the most stunning TV commercial of a bead of something (probably mercury) running over the contoured surface of something that turned out to be a body. It finally came to rest n the navel and the BMW logo morphed onto the surface of the liquid metal.

I've worked in and around the ad industry for almost 20 years and that was by far the most memorable and powerful brand ad I've seen. Shame I can't find it on YouTube or similar.

There is a "great big tracts of land" joke in here somewhere.

Recently, in the past couple weeks, a friend of mine ask me if a friend of his could use my studio for a test. An architecture professor at UC Berkeley for his day job, but one of his passions is photography. We met and he gave me one of his coffee table books called "Bodyscapes."

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...... no Photoshop ..... bullshit. There is no way that he would have buried the lower bodies of the two nudes that were shot in Death Valley National Park in the area of the salt flats. BUT .... beyond this .... I LOVE his work! It proves that art is an inherit part of some people's being. If he didn't have any formal art traininng, as you implied .... he's wonderful.
