i need a program for macintosh to get a flash slideshow going. although i own Adobe flash with my creative suite, i don't understand it a bit.

i need nice fades, a few panning and zooming effects and maybe a bit of text. output is a flash file.

Stefan,
Have a look into Slideshow Pro products(website). Not sure if this is what you're looking for? Try Google: examples.

Fotomagico, works a treat for me especially for wedding dvd slideshow movies

FotoMagico is a great program for slideshows in the Mac. It outputs to QT video using the latest H.264 HD codec.

You can view some sample slideshows on my wedding site at the link below.

I've used the software for quite some time so if I can answer any questions please send me an email.

There is always Mac's own effort 'Keynote' which was the bee's knees until Picture to Exe got its act together. Unfortunately it can't be used on Macs although the resulting slideshow can be played.

Keynote purports to convert to QT as well but I've never got the soundtrack to come across. Soundless slideshows are a bit useless really.

PhotoToMovie is also a good choice (website).
