Very nice images and an attractive site design.

I have two quibbles, however.

First, it would be helpful to have "Next >", "< Previous", and "Gallery ^" buttons available when you are looking at an individual image, so it isn't necessary to click the browser's "back" button and then click another thumbnail to get to the next image.

The other is that the picture of you in the Bio seems to be missing.

I hope Chris_T (our resident wbsite critic) will give you a more detailed critique.

Regards,

Eric

Hi Joel,

Your site has the virtue of simplicity and lets the photos speak nicely. But it looks rather dated and tired from the design POV. I am not advocating flashy stuff, just a contemporary appearance.

Behind the scenes, you are using a version of HTML that is now over 10 years old: IMO, it is well worth trying to conform to the current standard, which will help future-proof your site, can be more accessible used well, and also gives you more control over style and presentation. For example, you use the default serif font (TNR for me) that isn't that easy on the eye for screen use: with a CSS style sheet, you could change all that in about 30 seconds to use a font hinted for the screen.

Have a look at the CSS Zen Garden for some inspiration.

I'm not too keen on centred text to read for more than a line or two. And as Eric said, the navigation leaves something to be desired.

I don't know what the regulations are in your part of the world, but here in the UK, we have strict guidelines about selling by mail order/online - returns, cancellation rights, proper street address, business name and status, etc.
