I am looking at getting a Wacom Cintiq 12 is anyone using it to edit photos. Can it handle accurate colors and brightness levels? will it give more accurate results than from a macbook pro screen - more like a calibrated monitor?
Thanks

I find the Cintiq 12 more as a illustration than retouching tool. For illustration it is excellent.
For retouching I prefer bigger screen and a normal wacom tablet, but I know people who use the bigger 21" Cintiqs for retouching.
The Cintiq 12's screen has much bigger viewing angle compared to a laptop display, but the image quality is worse than with professional external displays.

Thanks,
I plan to use the display as a portable monitor on locations for viewing and editing as it is way to hard to bring a calibrated full size monitor. I like the idea of a large viewing angle as the laptop is very limited.

I wouldn't recommend it for that.... the display is too small imho.
