Well, it's pretty hard to tell from the size of the image. Given the size and colouring and beak shape I'd say a species of sparrow, but it's not one I recognize...

Even though the birds are really small in the top picture, I like it a lot. The configuration of the branch in a circle is really neat.

and actually it wasn't shot at 400mm but 300mm...
