Full Version: REMOVING PAST PAPER PROFILES

I've just installed my new Epson 3800.

How do I remove the numerous custom and canned paper profiles for my previous Epson 2200 and Epson 2400 and unclutter the dropdown list?

It's getting way too long and complex.

And while I'm at it, where do I find out the full names of the canned 3800 Epson paper profiles--the short form of the various paper profiles on the dropdown list are not self-explainatory, at least, not to me.

And another thing--how can I uninstall the previous two Epson printers software and icons? I guess this is a form of spring cleaning...

Thanks for any advice.

Larry.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Here are the names / meanings of the profiles:

Thanks Eric! I'm using Windows.

Any answer to my question about getting rid of previous Epson printer paper profiles in the drop down box?

I know I got there (the custom ones for Epson) by copying to the folder that has them. Why couldn't you just delete the ones you want out of there (matter of fact I had to delete some because it seems to have a maximum capacity and if you have reached that capacity and try to add a new one it doesn't show up in the drop down box).

go to the color folder that has the profiles and delete the ones that are no longer needed. then restart the program and see if they have disappeared.

There probably is a simpler way but this worked for me

Make a backup as you go; the filenames and respective profile names listed are not necessarilly the same . . .
