just saw that on the phase website...is that the price for the US as well? that is one hell of a deal....the P21+ may just be THE most underrated back on the market.....considering a 1dsmkIII plus 50 plus C1 (who does not use phase C1 with canon) is only about 500-1000$ less....pretty exciting.....if that kind of thing floats your boat....

Capture Integration is showing that setup at $13,490 US. The sub 10K price is Euros.

not quite as good, but still a great price for a GREAT kit....

This kit even at $14k is a great deal. The P21+ is fantastic and shoots fast, should do well on the new Mamiya body. Small files, relatively cheap, MF look.

The P21 is a great back. Forget megapixels. It's sharp, has a great texture lots of depth and as you say shoots fast, the files process and handle quickly.

If it only had another stop or two of asa, but even as it stands it's a great deal.

I'm no technician, but I owned that P21+ back, and it's a true joy to work with. I think when people talk about this mystery difference between MF and 35, they're probably seeing differences between CCD and CMOS mostly; maybe there IS something going on there. For sure, the default sharpness. I doubt about bit depth.

All I know is, you throw that P21+ on your camera, and you can shoot very fast, almost the same feeling as having a Canon in your hand. And you have the complete integration with CaptureOne, if you need to tether, (unlike the 1ds3).

If Phase rigged up a great LCD onto that P21+, and hit a good price point with them, they'll sell them like hotcakes. It's the nicest back I ever owned. Trouble-free, and faster than you'd ever need. Everyone laughed at me when I bought one -- "Why don't you just buy a Canon, if it's that small a file?" -- but if you want use of some of those nice MF lenses, it's a much better choice.

That sounds like a better back up plan than getting another P30+
I could get a camera and the Back for a great price..
I am going to check the specs again on the P21+
Sounds like a great deal...:+}

That mechanic can also have the AFDIII+80mm bundled with an A65 for €12K...
