Iliah
Dear All,

We are going to add PhaseOne digital backs support to RPP ( http://www.raw-photo-processor.com/RPP/Overview.html ). To set conversion parameters we need samples of raw files from those digital backs. Please contact us if you feel you can help with this.

I can supply P45+samples. Send me an email to tell me what you need. My recommendation would be to take samples at several pseudo-ISO.

My recommendation would be to shoot with another Phase One camera to satisfy the thirst for pseudo-ISO, as the P45 Plus is one of the few MFDBs, which maintain different ISO sensitivities (different gains at different settings).

Iliah meet Gabor. Gabor meet Iliah. Both of you guys make Raw converters. Be nice to each other, and tell me what you'd like from the TC42 TIFF/EP guys, so I can ask politely.

Sorry to hijack, but I'd like a 64-bit TIFF container for files >2/4GB...

Sorry to ask, but this wish is not understandable for me; it is not polemic, I mean it.

LOL, Edmund, I am rather interested on why PhaseOne is wasting 16 bits on 14 bits data :-)

(Ok, it is not fair to ask this from you, as you are not responsible for PhaseOne marketing decisions.)

Correction: why PhaseOne is wasting 16 bits on 14 bits useful image data

With this RPP beta (Mac-only) noise is down, colour transforms are improved. We are grateful to everybody who helped sending us files.

Iliah, I downloaded RPP377_784_Uni about a week ago. What's new in this latest version?
Iliah
New is, the demosaicing for PhaseOne digital backs is redesigned to provide more then 1 bit more useful information and less noise; and colour transforms for most recent digital backs from PhaseOne are based on full spectral data.

Other thing is Sony A900 support added.

I've released new version, 3.7.8. It has some improvements and bugfixes for Phase One. Also it should process Raws a lot faster now.

I've released new version of RPP. Owners of digital backs and Mac Pro computers should feel a lot better now - processing is much faster now for all operations.

New features and bug fixes in 3.7.9:
•More performance improvements - faster saving for all multi CPU systems.
•Special support for systems with more than 2 CPUs (this means Mac Pro) for donators. Very significant performance improvements in preview generation and saving from 2 to 6 times depending on hardware. RPP will use all available CPUs simultaneously for all processing operations. This feature is available only to past and future donators through personal unlock code. See "Multi CPU processing" section in the manual.
•Bugfixes.

Doug, I sent you an email couple of weeks ago. Not sure if you got it though. Anyway - new version is here and it's much more suitable for testing.

Should be able to add RPP to our article soon. Will post back here when I have.
