In Lightroom 1 when I would select a group of images and press P, U or X Lightroom would batch flag those images. LR2 doesn't seem to do this, or am I missing something?

You have to select the multiple images in Grid view (press the G key).

Sounds like you're doing it from the Film strip (bottom panel).
