Hi,

A friend showed me this link from the NY Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/18/technolo...h/18camera.html

It mentions that the New 5D lens bundle will be with a new version of the 24-105 zoom.
Anyone know anything about this? It took me 4 tries to get a decent one that I am not 100% pleased with.

Paul

ps: With all these cameras shooting video I might have to change my forum name!

A September surprise, the Canon 5D Mark II popped up Wednesday at the big biennial battleground for camera makers, the Photokina trade show in Cologne, Germany.

Considering that the Times didn't even get right the basic fact that Photokina doesn't start until next week, I would have to say that I take everything else in the article with a very, very big grain of salt.

Steve,

Pretty sure these events start early for the press and industry types. The industry is wining and dining buyers and press early and may show them new product outside the show, before the doors open.
