I couldn't find any dates on the Adobe website for the CS4 release date.

Adobe said by Q4, 2008 and Adobe's 4th quarter ends Nov 30th...in general the ship comes 30-40 days after the announce.

Adobe's press release last Friday said "...end of October."

Yup, It says late October for release and Early November for the download trials.

I made some enquiries with a reseller today and was told its 13 days away

So maybe just another week or so.

I went to the Adobe site and entered the promotion code for an Photoshop CS4 upgrade and it said it wasn't
valid on that site. Where did you use this code?

Well it works in the US store but not in the German store. I'm really thinking in not buying CS4. It is just not fair. Final price for US people ^^ 122,691 EUR = best price for German customers 249EUR for the upgrade from CS3 to CS4....

I must confess I am at a loss to understand the logic behind Adobe's pricing structure (I suppose it's "charge what we can get away with", but who knows).

This is an historic moment for us here in Ireland; Adobe products are actually more expensive in France and Germany than they are in Ireland. This must be a first. CS4 Extended full version €1293 in Ireland; €1486 in Germany, €1493 in France, including VAT, which is less in France and Germany than in Ireland.

Ah, well, decision time then. Anyone have a recommendation for the best review of cs4 or a good summary of new features? (Preferably with examples.)

Ditto for me at the North America Adobe online store. Plus they want to charge 12.44 in sales tax. I would prefer to have the disc with any additional software items and any manual that would come with the boxed version. Does anyone know if the current upgrade comes with a manual?

I will probably wait for my pre-order at Amazon.com. As usual, they have no idea of when the upgrade will become available and currently list Nov 7 as the release date.

I placed my order for the upgrade yesterday by phone to Adobe. I was told it would receive the product in about 7 days. My account was charged today.
