Does anyone know where I can get info on the price of the film version of the Hy6? Specifically, I mean the standard "kit": body, waist level finder, 6x6 back, 80mm lens. I can't find any info online (not surprisingly). Kurland Photo has had one listed on eBay for a while now for about $9000 (with the 6x4.5 back instead of the 6x6 back). That seems insanely high, but perhaps that is in fact the retail price?

That's the price William.

6.289 euros + 16% VAT (you have to pay it if you're not a professional) from my local distributor here in Spain (Sinar version).

I think the 6x6 film back isn't available yet.

4,950.- Euros according to online Sinar price list in the Netherlands. VAT is not included (but no pro has to pay that anyway). 6x6 Back is not included in the price because it is not available yet. If you buy it with 645 film back plus back-adapter (not needed for the 6x6 back) total cost will be 6,090.- euros. I expect the 6x6 film back to be under the price of 645 back with adapter.

the price (list from photokina) for the 75lv pack is the same as the

I mean 6.829 for the Hy6 + Waist level finder + Xenotar 80 + Film adapter + Film magazine 645. Very close to Thierry's suggested price.

You got lucky with your Netherlands...in Spain gear is always more expensive as in Germany for example ( or the Netherlands )

Heinrich,

Within the EU you are free to buy wherever you want without your buyer's rights being affected (freedom of traffic for people and goods). Unless your local dealer is doing a lot that is worthy to you, you could as well buy in Germany and send the camera there when there is a problem. After all, your dealer will probably do the same when you bring in your camera for repairs/service.
